About
My painting practice is grounded in gesture, repetition, and chromatic tension. I work intuitively, building compositions through layered marks that hover between control and release. The surface becomes a site of accumulation, where each stroke retains its autonomy while contributing to a larger, shifting structure.
Rather than depicting external subjects, the work operates as an internal system of movement and response. Color functions relationally—pushing, interrupting, and stabilizing—creating a sense of rhythm that is felt before it is understood. Impermanence, revision, and visible decision-making are central to the process.
These paintings resist fixed interpretation. They invite sustained looking, allowing meaning to emerge through proximity, time, and the viewer’s own perceptual experience.
